Photography

Awhile ago i discovered that austin had a pretty nice camera with a big lens and everything. So austin suggested i try taking pictures with it. He knew how much i loved taking pictures so it was a great idea i thought! And it ended up being a TON of fun!! I'll show you a couple pics i have taken with the camera =)

ps: This camera is a bit old so it uses film, which makes me a little more cautious taking pictures. But makes me feel like an old time picture taker! So sweet! =)

Me and the sis!

Here are a couple pics of me and my little sis Natalie =)

Wow, don't we look grown up! There's my little sister whose about to graduate high school, weird, and then there i am, MARRIED! Wow! Time moves by so quickly!

The hat shop!!

The hat shop in Long Beach Washington! So much fun!! We of course had to try on as many as we could! =)

This one wasn't actually in the hat store but it was an AWESOME hat!! =) Its like one of those old sailor man hats! I really wanted it if it was my size, but at last it was an XL! ugh. Oh well. one day i will get one and wear it proudly! =)

Washer and dryer

So my mom made it known to me yesterday that she had no idea that we had bought a washer and dryer and that was way back in September that we got them! Wow! I am bad at updating people! But now i am telling the world that we did in fact get a washer and dryer and it is heavenly! Although i am still not the best at doing laundry right away it is still so wonderful!!=)

Homemade...

So austin and i are trying really hard not to spend a lot of money on chrsitmas stuff this year. And well its really hard to look at a tree that has no star or angel or anything on top. So me, being to crafty(haha sort of) decided to make a star for the top of our tree. It took a LOT of time! Well maybe i'm exaggerating, more like 3 hours, but still, seemed like a long time. But in the end our tree has a star and we didn't have to spend any money =) Here are some pics =)

What do you think??

Forgotten carols

My sweet husband of mine took me to see Forgotten carols last week and it was so great! We had hoped to see it last year but we didn'thave time nsd money was short but this year we were able to go! Austin got the best seats we could and guess where we were?! Only 7-8 rows back from the actual stage! We were on the main floor and just off from the center stage section! It was so exciting as we walked down the aisle, we just kept walking closer and CLOSER!! to the stage!! It was so exciting! =) We were all snazzy looking and sitting in our best seat of the house seats =)

Also!

Before the actual show, my sweetie pie took me to dinner; Wendy’s =) One of our poor college favorites. Ha ha But the best part of Wendy’s right now is their Peppermint chocolate frosty shake thing!! SOOO amazing!! =) Austin just had to try mine. And then again. And then again! In the end he actually finished it for me cause I was full but it was so delicious! =) Everyone in the WORLD needs to try it!! =) So!!! Good!!!
Overall date night was amazing! Something that we had been looking forward to since November!! =)
The wonderful chicken sandwich...

The AMAZING GOODNESS!!!!!

Me with the goodness

And us =) waiting for the awesome show to start!! =)
(sorry about the blurr, no flash so we weren' realy bright!) haha

Playing the chimes =)

A couple sunday's ago austin's and i went up to the parents house to celebrate Dad's birthday. It was a jolly good time! We had a delicious dinner, yummy cake, opened presents, sang christmas songs, AND played the chimes!! =) Some of you might be asking yourselves, "what are the chimes?" Well my friend i will tell you =) they are pieces of metal pipe looking things that are different lengths and each play a different note in the scale; A, A#, B, etc =) Well its a tradition in austin's family to play the chimes during christmas time. Each person gets like one or two(there are a lot of notes) and then they had big note cards that have the different numbers on them(because each note has its own number) and then once it came to your number you would hit your chime. =) They were SO much fun to play! It was really loud though when everyone was just hitting them to hit them but overall very fun. I really want a set that we can play with our kids some day =) It would be so much fun! yup, definitely on the wish list for the future =)

Our homemade stockings!!

Awhile ago austin and i were discussing Christmas ad what we were going to do for it. I then asked him what kind of stockings we should get. He said that we should make our own stockings. At first i didn't think it would really happen but he was dedicated to the idea and so we ended up going to walmart and buying all the necessary fabric =) Austin was a pro at knowing what we needed =) and then a couple nights late, FHE, we made them!! Here they are!! Austin working his magic on the sewing machine =)
The cut out stockings! Waiting to be sewed!

Pinning the three layers together before sewing!

Austin's stocking all done!! =)

Mine all done!!=)

It was so much fun! We made our x-mas stockings, watched Muppets Christmas carol, and had chocolate chip cookie =) Great FHE!! =)

Getting our Christmas tree!!

We started our first Christmas tradition by having CHRISTMAS SATURDAY!!! The first saturday in december we go and get our christmas tree and spend the day together as a family. =) It was so much fun =) Initially we wanted to get a license and go up in the mountain to cut down our own tree but we don't have a truck so we then looked for a christmas tree farm around here but unlike washington there are like none around here! Washington has them ALL OVER!! But we could only locate 4 on google maps and they were far away or was the minimum $50 a tree!! Wow! We definitely were not going to spend that much on a tree when we could get one for twenty something at a grocery store. So after all our searching, we decided to just go to Smiths just 3 blocks away. =)

Now i am the kind of person that likes to look around at all the trees and find that perfect one, but austin(who hasn't had a real tree for about 10yrs) walked up to the group and he was like, "this one is perfect!" haha it was kinda funny but we ended up getting that one =) ha ha =) It was perfect in the end =) In the Amigo with our tree!!=) So exciting!

Austin with the tree =) So handsome!

And of course me me with the tree =)

Bringing the tree down the stairs. Great job austin!! =) So strong =)

And through the door!

While trying to cut off an inch off the bottom we broke austin's pocket knife and while using his circular saw got something in his eye, we definitely need a hand saw =) haha good old fashion equipment is always useful =)
Success!!!

Duke with the tree =) He really enjoyed sniffing it!

Good boy Duke!

All done!! =) Our tree is finally in the stand, staying up all by itself! Looks so beautiful =)
