So austin had an interview with the BLM last week but i didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to have to tell everyone that he didn't get it or hear over and over from family, "Any news on that job that austin got the interview from?", etc, etc.

Anyways...Last wednesday austin had an interview with this ACE guy(a company that works with land conservation) and the interview went really well!! The guy really liked him and there were two positions open to be intern land managers working with the BLM(bureau of land management).

He was told by the ACE guy that a bio would be written about him,by the ACE guy, and then sent to the st. george blm office and then the blm guy would make his decision and choose two people from the four that made the second cut. We were told that we would know by the end of the month if austin got the job or not. my mind was thinking, "...(sigh)...more waiting...but atleast it is a good job."

Yesterday, august 18th austin received a call with them offering him a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we were so excited!!! we couldn't stop smiling all day!! we took some time to really think about this job and make sure it is the one austin should take. we both feel really good about it and think it is a great opportunity for austin to get inside the blm system and something he will enjoy doing. because its a federal agency it will be easy to eventually get out of utah. haha =)

we are so grateful for all the prayers, fasting, and encouragement we have received from family and friends and we are excited to get life going again!! =)

i get bored in the car =)

we were on our way back from our friends funeral in preston idaho(march2011) and i was a little bored with the scenery so i amused my self with these binocular lens covers. haha austin thought i was weird =)

I just don't understand...

I was watching disney channel this morning and they had a short clip of a show and these two girl best friends did a chest bump and i just don't understand why girls would do that!!?? Girls are not meant to do the chest bump!! we don't have flat chests like men and that is why men do it. We girls were NOT meant for the chest bump. Would you agree??

Rain water ATTACK!!!!

Yesterday it rained a lot. and when i say a lot i mean the backyard was flooding and the water pump had to be turned on to avoid flooding the basement too. duke did NOT enjoy the rain. he was whining and basically complaining so we put him in his kennel. he can be such a cat! geeze! haha but anyways the rain kept coming down and down(reminds me of a couple songs haha) and while it was pouring i had to go out and unclog the drain. leaves and wood chips kept clogging it and i was scooping out the stuff. and i was just getting drenched but it was fun all the same =) i am glad that today is much nicer =)

oh and i went running for 3 miles yesterday with austin =) i am becoming very friendly with the canal road ;) haha my body doesn't agree with me when i run. haha =)

I enjoy photographing the small almost hidden things in nature. Its almost like i find hidden treasures, beautiful things that our Heavenly Father hid from general view and saved for those who look hard enough and then get to enjoy them.

Oh its so wonderful to spend an hour walking around sticking my head into trees finding the treasures =)
