Ready Set GO!

Well this past weekend was pretty good and also disappointing.

We went to stake conference which was great. It took almost 3 hours to get there and that whole time we entertained 3 little children. That involved reading stories (holding the book high above my head so that the children could see the pictures(they were sitting in the back seat in their car seats)), and talking about all sorts of stuff. On the way back it involved finding the cows that were in their hands that they would, while still holding the cow, hide and ask us to find it and they got such a kick out of that. It was rather funny because they thought we were so smart to be able to find the cow. =)

And guess what!!! We got to shake Elder Dallin H. Oaks hand! How cool is that?! It was really cool.

In other news, my 201 test is lost. It was sent on May 2 and is still not here. BYU...FAIL!!! I am suppose to take that test by June 2. Ugh... So I will have to make yet another call to the dumb blondes and find out what's to be done.  I am not ready for the test yet but I just hope that I am not penalized for the missing test. I dread calling...

This week so far as been very busy. I haven't gotten much done in my classes because we've been quite busy at the house. I will update you once the project is complete =)

I can't believe that May is almost over. This year is flying by.

The in-laws are coming down this weekend and we are so excited!  It will be fun to see family.  My sister was suppose to come and stay with us for awhile but at the last moment she backed out. kind of bummed about that. Oh well...

There is a parade this Saturday morning and I am really excited to go. I haven't been to one in a really long time. And I am curious to see these floats. =) and their quality.

1 down..... 4 to go!

Okay I have just completed..literally 5 minutes ago...my midterm for 202.  And I have come to the conclusion that...are you ready for this???.....teachers are just as lazy as students if not more so!

I know! Crazy huh?

I have had the hintings all through college and high school too and after my american heritage test it was confirmed. But now I am sure of it.

My professor of American Heritage basically copied and pasted all the practice multiple choice questions to a document and printed it out and exclaimed with great satisfaction, " I have finished the test! I am AWESOME!"

Now my 202 professor was a little less lazy than the previous. He instead combined the practice questions to make "new" or "different" questions for the exam. And he did make some new questions that actually made me think...crazy concept right? ....Well I was less than impressed. BUT!, I am not complaining... because that makes my life so much easier and less stressful. =)  I now know what to expect for the final. Lucky me =)

Thank you 202 professor for a 113 question test that took me 35 minutes. You rock!

I am now going to go home and celebrate by watching the Collin Firth Pride and Prejudice and work on two more essays for 201 and work on my resume for 316...that doesn't really sound like celebrating does it??....Oh well...the life of an adult and student. Life is not always fun. Blah...

Austin did say yesterday that we'll celebrate my first test completed by getting milkshakes. I want a banana milkshake =)

ps: I think they lost the 201 test in the mail...the library STILL hasn't received it. the USPS/BYU is STILL against me...

pss: this has been a really sucky week for me so far. I hope that the weekend gets here soon.  I am excited for friday night.

Everyone is against me...

I am pretty sure that the universe/BYU Independent Study/and Amazon are ALL against me.

First of all I ordered my last book I needed from Amazon and I waited a MONTH for that book! And guess what I found out last week?? Its considered DEAD MAIL. Yes...the post office lost my package...thank goodness the seller had tracking on it AND gave me a refund. So I have been waiting to get working on my 201 class because the USPS is dumb and hates me.

Second, I requested the midterm for 202. Well come to find out they are sending it to the physical address of the library and not the P.O Box like the librarian put on the form. Really BYU?? You fail... I just hope that the Post Office is smart enough to walk two blocks and give it to the library and not send it back.

Third, I requested my midterm for 202 on Friday  Well I get to the library today and see they are sending 201!! I talked to someone on the phone from BYU directly asking for the 202 exam. Why in the world are they failing so badly!?!  So I had to call them AGAIN to tell them to send the correct test. Now I have to take the 201 test(if it actually gets here) within thirty days! great! }=P

And I had to wait almost a half hour for the idiot on the phone to change the mailing address for the library. "Yes, send it to the P.O. Box."  "Yes, the P.O. Box."  "NO ONE receives mail at their physical address."  "Please send the test to the P.O. Box."  Could I have been any more clear?? And then I am put on hold while she puts in the correct address for nearly 15 minutes! What in the world would take that long??? All she needed to do was put the P.O. Box!

Ugh....

So to sum it up I think BYU hires students that are dumb air-head blondes of both gender to work for them to test my patience.  I have YET to talk to a BYU student employee that was smart in all the 6 years i've been dealing with BYU.

I really do not like how a professor can take an art course and turn it into a "my opinion is what is right" course

blah....

all art is objective...and i don't think my professor gets that. dumb....
