God in Government

I watched a video yesterday afternoon about the american revolution and the founding of our government. I was shocked to learn things that they never taught me in school. In the late 1960's they made the separation of church and state, which was never the intention of the founding fathers. And because of this God was not taught in schools anymore and the bible was not used as part of the curriculum. All text books left out any thing and everything referring to God concerning the founding. I learned that when the founding fathers met to discuss the declaration of independence they started with a prayer that lasted 3 hours. They prayed for God's guidance, and his protection over Boston; the Boston massacre had just happened. They left out all of the scripture references that were in the letters between john adams and abigail adams. I was astounded to learn all this and more in this video.

What make me so sad is to see how far our government has fallen... God was sought after for help and guidance to lead this country and do what was best for the people. Today our presidents and government people do what's best for the rich and themselves.

When the first public schools were put into place the bibile was the main book that was used. It was one of two books that were taught from in the classroom. What happened?? The founding fathers understood how important the bible was to the founding of this country and they knew that everyone should be taught from it. It was predicted by one of the founding fathers that if the bible was taken out of the school system the rate of crime would increase and immorality would increase. Well since the 1960's both crime and immorality have done just that.

Our children need to be taught the scriptures. They need to say the pledge of allegiance. They need to know God and that He is there. Children are getting worse and worse today. There is no respect to parents or family. They need God in their lives or what's the point of even trying? Without God on our side, there is no victory.

Our country is going down hill. No one can deny that. Our president is a selfish man that doesn't do what is best for the people but what makes himself look the best. He spends money we don't have to do things that he hasn't thought all the way through. I doubt he goes to bed at night praying for the strength from God to get this country back on track. He doesn't want to work for it and that's why he shouldn't get reelected. We need to get him out of the office.

We need a president that will bring God back into the office and government. Otherwise we will fall. We will fail as a country.

Our founding fathers, i am sure, are looking down on how this country is now being run and weeping at the mere sight of us!

If I were president I would try to be a leader like George Washington. He wasn't perfect but through God he led this country the right way, helping the people and doing what was best for them. No selfish thoughts on how to be reelected or get his polls higher.

This is how i will end this post, my feelings toward all of this summed up to two phrases:
